The monthly prayer meeting at All saints Church Belton falls on the second Wednesday of every month and has been running for about 18 months. We meet in the church.
From its inception I was conscious that the church prayer meeting tends to be the ‘poor relation’ In the circle of church meetings at most Churches. We are typically like modern people who while very aware of the benefits of regular bouts of energetic exercise are better at recommending it and advocating it for others than we are at doing it ourselves. For this reason, I have sought to make the prayer meetings as stimulating, informative and varied as possible.
We meet to pray for the church and the surrounding village and the individuals that comprise them. We pray too for each other. Our concern for the wider Church is expressed in prayer for persecuted Christians throughout the world which is sadly a growing trend.
During the time we have been meeting together we have seen several answers to prayer in situations that looked very bleak.
Please join us if you are able. Such gatherings are known as the “engine room” of the Church for a reason!
